It's not POV pushing. Yerevan and Baku were part of the Russian Empire and have Russian versions of their names. Yerevan, which had an Azeri majority also has an Azeri version name.

Alaska, Finland and 1/3 of Poland were parts of the Russian Empire, it also had influences in Manchuria and in the Southern Europe, but who cares in 2020. The Azeri majority in Yerevan was important in the past but not currently, same as the Celtic times aren't important for today's France, the Byzantine times for Turkey etc.
