Object history
Deutsch: In den Siegeln der früheren Gemeinde Wallhausen erscheint seit etwa 1820 ein schräggestelltes Haus als „redende" Wappenfigur. Auf Grund eines Vorschlags von 1930 wurde das Haus rot in goldenem Schild dargestellt. Am 1. Juli 1974 ging aus der Vereinigung dieser Gemeinde mit Hengstfeld und Michelbach an der Lücke die neue Gemeinde Wallhausen hervor. Sie übernahm zunächst das Schildbild ihrer gleichnamigen Vorgängerin, das - nun im zollerischen Silber-Schwarz der Markgrafen von Ansbach tingiert - 1980 verliehen wurde. Wegen der tristen Farbwirkung kam 1982 - zusammen mit den Flaggenfarben Weiß-Rot - durch Verleihung ein rotes Hausdach hinzu. Die eigenartige Figur fand jedoch keinen Anklang mehr, so dass der Gemeinderat die Annahme des jetzigen Wappens beschloss, das am 24. Februar 1986 verliehen wurde. Der Löwe ist die Wappenfigur der Herren von Wallhausen, während das berlichingensche Rad und der „redende" Hengst auf die übrigen Teilorte hinweisen.
