Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Sulzdorf a. d. Lederhecke besteht seit 1978 aus den ehemals selbstständigen Gemeinden Oberessfeld, Schwanhausen, Sennfeld, Sternberg i. Grabfeld, Sulzdorf und Zimmerau. Seit 1731 ist ein Gemeindesiegel für Sulzdorf belegt, das einen Löwen mit Schwert zeigt. Das Siegel war bis in das 19. Jahrhundert in Gebrauch. Der Löwe ist wohl dem Wappen des Würzburger Fürstbischofs Friedrich Karl von Schönborn (1729 bis 1746) entnommen, dem einstigen Landesherrn. An andere Adelsgeschlechter, die für das Gemeindegebiet von Bedeutung waren, erinnern die heraldische Rose aus dem Wappen der Freiherren von Guttenberg, der geschachte Balken aus dem Wappen der Truchsesse von Wetzhausen sowie die Farben Gold und Schwarz aus dem Wappen der Grafen von Henneberg. |
