Object history
Deutsch: Bereits seit etwa 1820 führte Reichenbach in seinem Gemeindesiegel in ovalem Schild das noch heute gebräuchliche Wappenbild. Da die Gemeinde nicht nachweisen konnte, dass das Wappen vor der Deutschen Gemeindeordnung von 1935 in vollständiger Form, also farbig, geführt worden war, musste es offiziell verliehen werden. Das Innenministerium verlieh Wappen und Flagge am 20. März 1963. Der Wellenbalken ist „redend" für den Ortsnamen, dagegen konnte die Bedeutung der Sterne bisher nicht geklärt werden. Die Farben Silber und Rot weisen auf die frühere Zugehörigkeit des Ortes zur Grafschaft Hohenberg und die österreichische Landeshoheit bis 1805 hin.
