Object history
Deutsch: Die im mittleren Schwarzwald gelegene Gemeinde ist durch Zusammenschluss von Bad Rippoldsau und Schapbach am 1. Juli 1974 entstanden. Ihre Gemarkung erstreckt sich über das obere Wolftal und seine Seitentäler. Die Heilquellen in Rippoldsau werden seit dem 16. Jahrhundert genutzt; 1933 erhielt der Ort das Prädikat „Bad". Schapbach ist Luftkurort. Das Wappen, das mit der Flagge am 3. März 1978 vom Landratsamt Freudenstadt verliehen wurde, weist mit dem „redenden" Bild des Wolfs, der Tanne und dem Brunnen auf die Lage der Gemeinde und die wirtschaftliche Bedeutung von Wald, Heilbad und Fremdenverkehr hin.
