Object history
Deutsch: Die Farben Silber und Blau weisen auf die wittelsbachische Landesherrschaft hin. Das Gebiet der Gemeinde Wang gehörte zum Amt bzw. zur Herrschaft Isareck, die wahrscheinlich über die Grafen von Moosburg an die bayerischen Herzöge gelangte. Herzog Albrecht V. ließ im 16. Jahrhundert das an den Steilhängen der Isar gelegene Schloss erbauen. Die Verwaltung des Amtes Isareck oblag herzoglichen Beamten, seit Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts dem Pfleggericht Moosburg. Der Karfunkelstein wurde in geminderter Form aus dem Wappen der Grafen von La Rosée (viereckiger Karfunkelstein mit acht roten geblumten Stacheln, auch Glevenrad genannt) übernommen, die das Schloss Isareck im 19. Jahrhundert kauften und es heute noch bewohnen. Der Wellenbalken weist auf die Lage der Gemeinde an der Isar hin. Die Pflugmesser, in der Heraldik Symbole für Landwirtschaft, unterstreichen die bäuerliche Struktur des Gemeindegebiets.
