English: Blazon: „Gules, enté en point Or charged with a torteaux accompanied by two bezants.“ The arms were officially granted on May 21, 1952. The arms is derived from the arms of the Lords von Goldegg, who built the local Klammstein Castle in the 13th century. The three roundels are taken from the arms of the Nonnberg Convent, to which the village of Unterberg in the municipality belonged for a long period of time.
Deutsch: Blasonierung: „In Rot eine von zwei goldenen (gelben) Kugeln begleitete geschweifte goldene (gelbe) Spitze. Die Spitze ist belegt mit einer roten Kugel.“ Das Wappen lehnt sich an das der Herren von Goldegg an, die im 13. Jahrhundert die Burg Klammstein erbauten. Auch taucht der Ortsname Dorfgastein zuerst in einer Urkunde dieses Geschlechts auf. Die drei Kugeln sind dem Wappen des Stiftes Nonnberg entnommen, unter dessen Grundherrschaft der Gemeindeteil Unterberg stand.
