Cette nouvelle version est beaucoup plus représentative du blasonnement. Elle a été réalisée à partir du document officiel signé par Léopold Ier le 30 janvier 1840 et de l'armorial Lieve Viaene-Awouters et Ernest Warlop, Armoiries communales en Belgique, Communes wallonnes, bruxelloises et germanophones, vol. Tome I : Communes wallonnes A-L, Bruxelles, Dexia, 2002, 520 p. La version précédente était issue d'une illustration réalisée pour une impression sur des sous-verres, une illustration erronée qui ne correspondait pas au blasonnement.
